We're sorry to hear that you want to cancel your Tembo account. We pride ourselves on developing an app with our savers in mind. But if you want to leave us, know you can come back any time.

How do I cancel my Cash ISA?

You can cancel your account in the first 14 days of opening a new Cash ISA and making your first contribution.

To do this, click into your Cash ISA account in app, scroll to the bottom of the page and hit Cancel.

If you're outside of the cancellation window, you'll see Withdraw here instead. To close your account, simply withdraw all funds.

Please be aware, that once you request to cancel your Cash ISA, our team will then complete this request manually.

What about if I've not put money into the Cash ISA yet?

If you've not yet funded your Cash ISA account, it isn't fully open (although you will see it within the app). This means it won't be reported to HMRC as open until you put funds into it. To close the account, please get in touch with our team and let us know your registered email.

Will cancelling impact my Cash ISA allowance?

If you cancel your Cash ISA within the first 14 days, any contributions you've made in that time won't impact your annual ISA allowance. If you close your account after this period, contributions will impact your allowance.

How do I cancel my Lifetime ISA?

You can cancel and withdraw any funds from a newly opened Lifetime ISA without penalty up to 30 days after you open a Lifetime ISA. To do this, please get in touch with our team and let us know your registered email. We can then create a ticket and request a cancellation for you.

Will cancelling impact my Lifetime ISA allowance?

If you cancel and withdraw any funds from your Lifetime ISA within the first 30 days, any contributions you've made in that time won't affect your annual Lifetime ISA allowance. If you close your account after this period, contributions will impact your allowance.
