🏡 Mortgages

To ensure you get the best possible service no matter how complex your situation, Tembo usually charges a fee for mortgage advice. The fee isn't payable until you have a mortgage offer from a lender, so you'll never pay for advice alone.

For a standard mortgage or remortgage, we charge £499, and for a more complex mortgage (Boost, adverse credit, equity transfer) we charge up to £749.

Why use a mortgage broker?

  • You'll get expert advice from a fully qualified specialist, who will create a bespoke mortgage plan that's right for you.

  • You'll get access to over 100 lenders, with many options not found on the high street or through other channels, exclusively available to Tembo.

  • A personal mortgage protection review with our in-house expert, helping to ensure you have the right cover in place should the unexpected happen.

  • Plus we'll do all the hard work, so you don't have to! We'll help you find the right mortgage and conveyancer, and we'll liaise with your solicitor and estate agent once your offer has been accepted.

** These represent our typical fees, but your Tembo adviser will let you know at the outset if a different fee structure is applicable to your situation. The maximum fee we charge will never be more than 1% of your mortgage loan.

💰Savings

Cash Lifetime ISA

Our Cash Lifetime ISA has no monthly fee.

Stocks & Shares Lifetime ISA

We charge an annual fund fee of 0.35%. In addition there are fees charged by the fund provider (BlackRock) of 0.17%.

Tembo Plus

We announced we were retiring our old 'Tembo Plus' model on the 8th November 2024. The last time any Plus customer would have paid the £2 fee was in September 2024. We plan to re-launch it in future with a host of new benefits, and old Plus members will be offered a 50% discount when it launches.
