You can't open a Lifetime ISA on behalf of somebody else. If your child would like to open one, they must be aged 18-39 and have to enter their own details in the app, using their own device. This ensures their account is secure.

The good news is, once they have set up their own account, they can send you their gift link from the Ideas tab. This link will open up a secure payment portal which will allow you to add anything from £10 to whatever's left of their £4,000 annual allowance, directly to their Lifetime ISA.

Your gift will be boosted with the government's 25% bonus and this will be added to the account 4-6 weeks after you make your gift payment.

You can use this link as often as you like, and help them to use as much of their annual £4,000 allowance as you wish.
