To ensure your funds are kept safe and secure, we use open banking to connect directly to your bank account - this allows you to top up your Tembo account directly from your linked bank account, meaning all your contributions are made through the app. You can also have a direct debit set up to contribute automatically each month from your linked bank account to your Tembo Lifetime ISA and have full control of any changes you'd like to make through the app.

Having your bank account linked to your Tembo account allows you to see and control all of your contributions all in one place, and lets your bank have sight of your transactions too - for that added layer of security that brings peace of mind with your top-ups! Rest assured, we don’t see or store your transaction data, we only use the link to your bank account to set up a secure payment and connection method for your Tembo account.

Connecting to your bank account also helps us lower your risk of becoming a victim of financial fraud by enabling you to verify that the payment details and account name match your registered account information. It also reduces the chance of human error (like entering your bank details slightly wrong), as it uses already verified banking details.
