Transfer an existing ISA to Tembo's Fixed Rate Cash ISA

You can transfer an ISA from another provider or move funds from an existing Tembo Cash ISA into a Fixed Rate Cash ISA easily in-app.

1. External Transfers (From another provider)

Who is this for?

New customers and existing customers moving money from a different ISA provider.

How to do it

  • New Customers: Download the Tembo app and open a Cash ISA Fixed Rate. During onboarding, select the option to transfer from another ISA provider.

  • Existing Customers: Select your Fixed Rate account in the app, click More, and follow the instructions to transfer in.

Key Details

  • Processing time: Transfers from another provider can take up to 15 working days to process.

  • Minimum value: The minimum transfer value is Β£500.

  • Providers: We only accept transfers from existing cash or stocks and shares ISAs. A list of accepted providers can be found here.

2. Internal Transfers (From a Tembo account)

We now support transfers from a Tembo Cash ISA Easy Access to a Fixed Rate Cash ISA.

Who is this for?

Existing customers moving money from one Tembo account to another.

How to do it

Select your existing Cash ISA Fixed Rate account, click on the More button, and select "Move money" to transfer funds from your Easy Access account:

Key Details

  • Processing time: Internal transfers take 3 business days to complete.

  • Supported transfers: You can transfer from a Tembo Cash ISA Easy Access β†’ Fixed Rate Cash ISA.

  • Unsupported transfers: We do not support transfers from a Fixed Rate Cash ISA β†’ Cash ISA Easy Access.


General Terms & Interest Rates

  • Rate Locking: Unless in exceptional circumstances, the fixed interest rate is locked in when your transfer is allocated with our partner Investec, even if the rate goes down in the meantime.

  • Term Start Date: The 12-month fixed term will begin within 2 working days of the transfer completing and funds landing in the account.
