We’ve launched a generous referral scheme for our Tembo savers who successfully refer new customers to our ISA or Lifetime ISA products. For every friend you successfully refer to Tembo, you’ll get a reward of up to £250! You refer friends by sharing your unique referral link with them.
👉 Head to ‘Settings’ on the Tembo app, then click ‘Invite friends’ to get started.
To qualify, the referred customer must sign up using the referrer’s custom link (found in app) and:
Open a new Tembo ISA or Lifetime ISA and fund it with £500 or more within 30 days of claiming the reward in app; or
Initiate the transfer of an existing ISA or Lifetime ISA with a balance of £500 or more to a Tembo ISA or Lifetime ISA within 30 days of claiming the reward in app.
The referrer must also have at least £500 in their account.
How will I get the reward?
Your reward will be paid into your Tembo Cash ISA (or Tembo Lifetime ISA if you don’t have a Cash ISA) when the referral is complete. Your friend will also receive a matching reward into their Tembo Cash ISA or Tembo Lifetime ISA. Be aware that while you can invite as many friends as you like through our referral scheme, only the first 5 completed referrals per month will be eligible for a reward for the referrer. Rewards after the first 5 completed referrals per month will only be paid to the referee.
If you want to withdraw the reward to spend as you wish, it's a good idea to open a Tembo Cash ISA to do this. Otherwise, any reward withdrawn from a Lifetime ISA will incur the 25% withdrawal penalty.
How much will I get?
You and your friend will receive a randomly selected bonus ranging from £15 to £250, to be credited to your Tembo Cash ISA or Tembo Lifetime ISA.
How do I know if my friends have joined Tembo?
You can keep track of your referrals in the app, including how much you've earned and which of your friends have pending referrals.
If your friend has completed all the steps, but the referral is still marked as ‘pending’ in your app, don’t worry. This is usually because they have a payment which hasn’t been confirmed yet. Once their payment is confirmed, the referral will show as complete in your app. This is usually the next working day if they’ve paid in as a deposit - transfers from other providers can take longer.
