In short, yes. Bad credit will have an impact on the level of lending available and will make it trickier to use either an Income Boost or a Deposit Boost. Click here to find out more about why your credit score matters when buying a home and talk to our customer success team to find out more.

The best thing to do if you're worried is to download a report from checkmyfile. This collects data from all of the main credit reporting agencies: Equifax, Experian, TransUnion and Crediva so that you have the fullest possible view of your creditworthiness.

Once you've got your report, either share it with your Tembo expert, or - if you haven't spoken to us yet - send it to to [email protected] and our mortgage experts will review. Remember to provide the password if you've set one!
